The Lounge, Northside, Cincinnati 2022

To commemorate the opening of Northside’s, the lounge, I was commissioned to create an art piece that would also fulfill a branding function. The lounge features a distinctive psychedelic 1970s-inspired decor, and this artwork was designed to enhance the overall ambience of the establishment. Given the importance of live music within the lounge's framework, it was essential to incorporate this element into the final piece.

The artwork commenced as a digital design and subsequently transformed into a large hanging wall installation made from wood and epoxy clay. It was then finalized with spray paint and acrylic paint. This artistic creation has undoubtedly become a cherished aspect of the lounge's environment.

The original digital design

I intended for a focal point of the piece to be the bar’s interior design, which features numerous remarkable and unique furniture pieces, including mid-century furnishings, a reel-to-reel tape deck, complemented by an abundance of plant life. Musically, it was essential to illustrate the diversity of the acts that the bar attracts.
